JEE Main Exam Pattern

Understanding the JEE Main exam pattern is crucial for candidates preparing for the IIT JEE exam. By closely examining and adhering to the JEE Main exam pattern, candidates can develop a successful study plan and improve their performance in the entrance exam.

Since 2019, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has been responsible for designing and developing the JEE Main syllabus and determining the exam pattern. While there were some changes to the exam pattern in 2019, the NTA has largely maintained consistency for the 2024 exam. However, there are some expected changes for 2024:

The exam will be conducted in two sessions instead of four, with the first session in January and the second in April.

Negative marking will be introduced for both Section A and Section B.
